Take flight!

I just laid down after a long yet fun day with my niece, nephew, mom, and Granddaddy. We took the kids to a nearby park and had a blast. Then I came home and starting packing for my move to Nashville. It’s hard to believe I’m sleeping in my bed for the last time that I officially call this place “home.” I’ve spent 18 years of my life in this house! So many memories have been made under this roof. This place and the people in it have shaped who I am. I’m grateful for my parents, Ken & Betsy, who have given me with wings to soar in life, loved me unconditionally, raised me to be a God fearing person, and for trusting me at 10 years old to leave home with Jeff & Sheri Easter to embark on what I thought would be a little streak of singing and then come home and be a “normal” kid again. They gracefully allowed me to sing on their stage night after night, and helped build the career I have today. I’ll always be eternally grateful for that! You guys will never know how much you mean to me and how much I respect both of you.....I never would’ve dreamed 11 years later God would still have me singing gospel music, but I’m so blessed to be singing this music I love so much! I’m grateful for my brothers Jordan & Landan for always believing in me even when I didn’t believe in myself. As we’ve gotten older I cherish the times we get together! I’m grateful for my grandparents for taking me to most of my concerts from a very early age and loving me no matter how mean I can be. 😉 I’m grateful for my church family who has always been there for me, waiting for me to come back home, no matter how long it seems sometimes. You guys are family to me and always will be......I guess to a certain extent it’s hitting me tonight “I’m an adult.” I’m leaving home! It’s exciting and freighting all at the same time. I’m so excited for this new adventure in life. I know it will make me grow as a person and appreciate everything and everyone I’ve mentioned in this post even more! We take this “job/ministry” for granted so much. Do we get road weary and homesick? YES! Do we walk onstage sometimes discouraged? YES! Has God always been faithful through the good and bad? YES!! Ministering is so rewarding, watching broken people be put together again and seeing folks find hope through Jesus Christ. I wouldn’t trade my life for anything. I’m blessed to be able to travel with two amazing singers and friends. Amber Eppinette & Jaquita Lindsey, I can’t wait to see what God has in store for 11th Hour. I truly believe the best is yet to come! With all this being said, I’d appreciate your prayers and I embark on this new journey in life. I love you guys!

“Stuck” in the mud.

Happy Monday, y’all! It’s been a while since I’ve written a blog. It has been a busy July and I’ve covered a lot ground, made some great memories, met a lot of new friends on the road, and seen some f
