Til’ The Storm Passes By

In life, we face many kinds of storms. In my 23 years of living, I’ve never experienced any type of crisis such as we’re facing today. Our world is in such turmoil.

It’s to an extent overwhelming to walk in a grocery store and see empty shelves and people basically sprinting through the isles grabbing up the few things left that have been picked over.

I can’t help feeling for our elders that have no choice but make a certain amount of money last all month. Many were not privileged enough to go out and buy extra to sustain them through this time.

I’m confident God is still on the throne and will take care of each of his children, as only he can.

I’ve sung this song almost every time I’ve stepped on a stage over the last 10+ years. It offers a message of hope that never grows old. I hope you can find some comfort or encouragement in the lyrics of this timeless song penned by, Mosie Lister.

“In the dark of the midnight have I oft hid my face

While the storm howls above me, and there's no hiding place

'Mid the crash of the thunder, Precious Lord, hear my cry

Keep me safe till the storm passes by

Till the storm passes over, till the thunder sounds no more

Till the clouds roll forever from the sky

Hold me fast, let me stand in the hollow of Thy hand

Keep me safe till the storm passes by

When the long night has ended and the storms come no more

Let me stand in Thy presence on the bright peaceful shore

In that land where the tempest, never comes, Lord, may I

Dwell with Thee when the storm passes by

Till the storm passes over, till the thunder sounds no more

Till the clouds roll forever from the sky

Hold me fast, let me stand in the hollow of Thy hand

Keep me safe till the storm passes by” 🎶
